Horrible chemical smell?

My son left a bottle of Techron gas additive (good for 8000 gal of gas!) in my truck and it sprung a leak on the carpet. The smell is like very strong cleaning fluid or lighter fluid. I have tried mopping and using straight soda on it up but the smell takes your breath away. Any suggestions?
