What is the average day rate for hair stylists for editorial photo shoots?

I am a hairstylist that is just starting my freelancing career. I was wondering what is the average day rate that shoots play stylists. I am planning on going through an agency once my portfolio is complete. I know they will negotiate it for me but I just wanted a ballpark sum. (By the way, I am in New York City so I'm talking about professional shoots)
