Keeping an injured ferret comfortable?

I usually let my ferrets roam my room before I go to bed, and tonight Blitz, the youngest, got out. He made his way downstairs and into the kennel where our 3 year old boxer sleeps. Of course, they did fight, and I think he's pretty badly injured. I know that I need to get him to a vet, but it's 2AM, and I don't know where any ER vets are. Nor could I afford it... So, if it is his time to go, is there any way I could make him more comfortable? Serious answers, please. This is hard enough on me.
