Question on sending SAT scores?

Ok, so I am applying to a college and the deadline is tomorrow. If I send my scores tonight through collegeboard.com, will it count from the day I sent it(today)? And do I have to send it through collegeboard?..because my counselor sent a form in for me with my TAKS/SAT/ect. scores on the back. Would a college accept that?
