Please advise on car accident?

my wife got an car accident as she hit another car and an old lady(75) were injured one year back in CA. I have Farmers insurance and liability coverage of 50k. After primary investigation by the COP my wife was 100% guilty for the accident and we accepted it. Now almost every month I get a call from my insurance company with a new person saying " I am your new adjuster, if you have any question you can ask" but their message is always same: I have one more year to wait until the case resolve completely meaning the other party has total 2 years to claim the damage. All I know from my insurance company is the other pary old lady is taking physical therapy. I am worried becsause the claim is still open after one year and I don't know whether they will sue me or not( if 50k of my insurance is not enough or negotiations fails between my insurance and other party). Any suggestion ? what should I do ? Insurance company , my agent does not say anymore detail about the seriousness of the injury or how long it will take to close the claim etc
