High School GPA insight?

So to say the least, I'm frustrated. Im a 1st semester sopre. So lets start with last year. My good old freshman year. Yeah I didn't care got a 2.2 my first semester and 3.0 second. This year I have a changed attitude. My goal was a 3.8 to 4.0 and I had that. Then it got a little bit tougher and after midterms I have a 3.4. Im just sick of school. Im sick of the administration telling me that the kid who takes honor cles and is involved in stupid clubs is going to get in to college before me. So what? I don't like that. Im 16 and I work. I work for my parents and more or less have a manager type position. I cant stand the kids who play sports at my school their way too full of themselves. and when a college looks at my application wouldn't they want to see a kid who can manage a business, or a kid who played football and sat on the sidelines have the season. I want to get into a decent school, no harvard or MIT. I live in Colorado and either want to go to Denver University, Colorado University Boulder, or Metro Denver. So do I really need to pull a 3.8 GPA score perfect on my ACT and SAT and do a bunch of clubs and hate high school. Or can I enjoy life get in the 3.0 range and do ok on my ACT and SAT. I just need some insight and advice here.
