My check engine light is on, sensor says O2 filter in back, am I losing gas mileage?

O2 sensors are like $50~$100, and labour isn't much, an hour of shop time. It could be costing you some fuel, depends on how far gone the sensor is, but it won't kill anything to drive it that way, just don't wait any longer then you have to..
