What did Canada achieve from World War 1?

This is for an editorial that I am writing for Socials Studies. I have to write why Canada should sent soldiers for fight in Europe. I am planning to include what Canada achieved in the war. I know what Sir Aurthur Currie became the first Canadian general to lead troops. Any more that Canada achieved?
