Why did Tom Riddle hate his name? Why did he change it to Lord Voldemort?

He went to Hogwarts as a secretive person and a liar. Many teachers didn't understand him. He hated his name because in school, he learned about pure bloods and half bloods, etc. He looked towards his history, and wondered if his father was a wizard. He wasn't. He looked if his mother is a Witch. Then that showed to him and his pion for being a pure blood. Changed his name to Voldemort and started killing mudbloods. Basically, his father wasn't a pure blood. He was a muggle. Tom hated muggles, he believed he deserved better. That's how he became evil.
