How do you escape the fear of movies about unsolved curses?

Okay, so I'm afraid of ghosts, bloody things, and the like. I was forced to watch the Thai movie "Coming Soon" and my schoolmates were totally like OMG and holy sh*t. I was head down the whole movie but the SFX just kept on ringing in my head and so brutal. I know it's a horror genius, but i'm not a horror fan. I'm getting afraid, especially tonight that i'm all alone. I'm afraid of the death scenes and the scary killings and the haunting and everything in the movie. please help.
